The journal accepts a broad range of scholarly contributions, including qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods research, as well as theoretical and conceptual papers. Comparative studies, case based analyses, and research that develops or applies innovative methodologies are also welcome.

In addition to advancing academic research, the journal seeks to contribute to the improvement of conditions in areas affected by conflict by encouraging work that engages with practical challenges and policy relevant questions.

Journal of Conflicted Areas aims to foster rigorous scholarship and to support the development of new approaches, insights, and dialogues that extend beyond the boundaries of any single discipline.
