Journal of Conflicted Areas welcomes submissions from scholars across all disciplines whose work engages with issues related to areas affected by conflict. The guidelines below are intended to provide clear and concise instructions for manuscript preparation and submission.
Scope and Suitability
Authors should ensure that their submission aligns with the aims and scope of the journal. Manuscripts should address aspects of conflict affected areas and contribute to scholarly discussion on the topic.
Types of Contributions
The journal accepts a wide range of academic work, including qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods research, as well as theoretical and conceptual papers.
Manuscript Length
There is no fixed word limit for submissions. Authors may determine the appropriate length of their manuscript according to the nature of the research and the depth of analysis required.
Abstract
All submissions must include an abstract of 150 to 300 words summarizing the main arguments, methods, and findings of the paper.
Formatting and Style
Manuscripts must follow APA style for in text citations and reference lists.
There are no strict requirements regarding font type, font size, or general document layout. However, authors must ensure consistency in the formatting of headings and subheadings and maintain a clear hierarchical structure throughout the manuscript.
File Format
Submissions must be provided in an editable file format. Accepted formats include DOCX, DOC, RTF, and ODT. PDF files are not accepted.
Figures and Tables
Figures, tables, and other visual materials may be included within the main document or submitted as separate files, according to the authors’ preference. All figures and tables should be clearly labeled and referenced in the text.
Submission Files
Authors are required to submit two versions of their manuscript:
- An anonymized version with all identifying information removed, intended for the peer review process
A full version including the names of all authors, their institutional affiliations, and the email address of the corresponding author
